What this site is

An independent technical reference for trucks, buses and trailers, published in five languages. Every figure carries the source it came from.

What we publish

Model specifications you can check against the manufacturer, explanations of the vehicle segments these machines work in, the operating knowledge it takes to run them legally and profitably, and coverage of the industry that builds them.

The site is written for people who work with these vehicles: operators, fleet engineers, workshop staff and parts buyers. It is not written for enthusiasts, and it is not a dealer.

How the technical data is produced

Every specification comes from a manufacturer source — a technical data sheet, a brochure or a press kit — and is then checked against a second, independent source before publication. Figures that survive both steps are published. Figures that do not are left out.

A blank field on this site means the value could not be confirmed, not that it does not exist. Where a manufacturer’s own published figures contradict one another, we say so on the page rather than choosing the more convenient number. Several pages here carry empty rows for exactly this reason.

Specifications live in one language-neutral record per model and are rendered into all five language versions from it. A torque figure is therefore identical in every language by construction; only labels and prose are translated.

Photographs

Cover images are freely licensed works from Wikimedia Commons, credited to the photographer with their licence on every page. Each one is checked by eye against the subject before publication — a filename is not evidence that a photograph shows the vehicle it claims to.

Our commercial interest

TruckBusWorld is operated by the same company as Vaden, a manufacturer of heavy commercial vehicle spare parts. Some articles link to Vaden’s technical guides where a component is genuinely the subject; links into Vaden’s product catalogue are marked rel="sponsored".

We publish this because a reader weighing our technical judgement is entitled to know it. It does not change how the data is sourced: the specifications here come from vehicle manufacturers, not from us, and are verifiable through the sources listed on each page.

Corrections

If a figure on this site is wrong, we want to fix it and say that we did. Write to us with the page and the source that contradicts it.
