The SE636kWh Standard is a battery-electric 4x2 semi-trailer tractor from SANY. SANY Group’s global catalogue lists it under “Semi-trailer Tractor” as “Electric Truck 636kWh Standard Models”; the name carries its battery capacity, 636 kWh. This page is built from four SANY documents: the SE636kWh Standard catalogue page on sanyglobal.com (undated, read on 27 October 2026), the English flyer for the “4X2 636kWh Standard Version” (host code KEV113263686, “Version 2025-12-01”), and two SANY TRUCK press releases, of 24 September 2026 and 21 October 2026. The flyer’s cover presents the version as “SANY Electric Heavy Truck” under the headings “Extended Range”, “Ultra-Fast Charging” and “Dual-Power Matrix”.

SANY TRUCK’s press release of 24 September 2026 is headed “SANY TRUCK × IAA 2026 | An Outstanding Debut, A Spectacular Finale”. Its release of 21 October 2026 reports that “the first SANY e263 fully electric heavy truck was officially delivered” to the Swiss logistics company Hugelshofer Gruppe, and calls this the debut of SANY’s electric heavy trucks in the Swiss market; the release gives no battery, motor, dimension or weight figure for the e263 and does not name the SE636kWh Standard. No document opened gives a launch date, a start of production or an earlier generation of the SE636kWh Standard. SANY’s entry into the European truck market is covered in new truck brands entering Europe.

Cab

The flyer places the driver’s seat on the left (“Left hand drive”) and lists a cab deflector as an option (“Optional 2: Cab deflector”). No document opened names the cab or gives its dimensions, berths or interior equipment.

Electric drive and transmission

The SE636kWh Standard has no combustion engine. The flyer gives the driving motor type as “High-performance Dual-motor E-axle”, the transmission type as “Double 2-speed AMT” (AMT: automated manual transmission) and the number of gears as “2-speed”.

RatingPowerSpeedTorque
Rated420 kW4,500 rpm1,000 Nm
Peak730 kW8,500 rpm1,760 Nm

In its introduction the flyer speaks of “420/730kW dual electric drive axles with 980hp peak horsepower” and of “coupled dual-motor output”; its specification table lists the driving motor type as the dual-motor e-axle and the model as 4X2. The flyer lists three speed ratios under the labels below.

GearRatio
First (“Rear 1st Speed Ratio”)35.26
Second (“Rear 2st Speed Ratio”)13.07
Reverse (“Rear Reverse Speed Ratio”)35.26

Under transmission take-off the flyer gives “Rated transmission output: 980 N.m”, and it lists an MPTO as an option (“Optional 1: MPTO”). The vehicle control unit is a “Central domain controller XCU”.

Battery and charging

SANY gives the battery capacity as 636 kWh in the flyer and on the catalogue page and does not say whether the figure is installed or usable capacity; the flyer describes the battery as “bottom-mounted”. How the two measures differ is explained in installed and usable battery capacity. The flyer gives “a standard load range of 500km” and states no test condition for it.

Charging is by DC fast charging through two charging guns, given as “1000A dual-gun DC fast-charging”, to the CCS2 standard, which the flyer calls “Europe’s Standard CCS2”. The flyer and the catalogue page both give the charging time from 20% to 80% as 30 minutes or less. The flyer also states that dual-gun CCS2 charging at 1,000 A achieves “a rapid 300km (400kWh) charge in just 30 minutes”. No document opened gives a charging power in kilowatts or the battery chemistry. Charging standards and connectors for heavy vehicles are covered in charging electric trucks and buses, and the values that makers declare for electric tractor units are listed in the register of maker-declared values.

Source notes

All figures are from two SANY documents: the SE636kWh Standard catalogue page on sanyglobal.com (undated, read on 27 October 2026) and the English flyer for the 4X2 636kWh Standard Version, host code KEV113263686, dated Version 2025-12-01. The flyer names no market and gives the charging standard as Europe’s Standard CCS2. The catalogue page gives a curb weight of 10.9 t, a battery capacity of 636 kWh and a charging time from 20% to 80% of 30 minutes or less, the same values as the flyer. SANY does not say whether the 636 kWh is installed or usable capacity. The 500 km is the flyer’s standard load range, with no test condition stated. The flyer states that dual-gun CCS2 charging at 1,000 A gives a 300 km (400 kWh) charge in 30 minutes and gives no charging power in kW. Its introduction speaks of 420/730 kW dual electric drive axles with 980 hp peak horsepower; its specification table gives the driving motor type as a High-performance Dual-motor E-axle and the model as 4X2. No document opened names the cab, gives a launch date or a start of production, or lists driver-assistance systems.
