The X3000 is a heavy truck of SHACMAN’s 3000 series, which Shaanxi Automobile Group builds as tractor units, tippers, truck mixers and other rigid trucks. The history page of shacman.ru, the official SHACMAN site for Russia, records the launch ceremony of the SHACMAN X3000 at the Qujiang International Exhibition Centre in Xi’an on 18 December 2014. On shacman.ru the X3000 has a series page, a second series page for the “X3000 restyle” and model pages for tractors, tippers and truck mixers of both; the X3000 series page links a Russian operator’s manual for Euro V trucks, a PDF created in July 2021 and last modified in February 2025. On SHACMAN’s export site, www.shacman.com, the X3000 page links the 3000-series brochure dated 2025 as its product manual, and the site’s sitemap lists an X3000 brochure of April 2021.

No SHACMAN document opened gives a start of series production for the X3000 or dates the X3000 restyle. SHACMAN’s company timeline lists the F3000 (2009), the H3000 (2013) and the L3000 (2017) beside the X3000 (2014), and the 2025 brochure gives the X3000’s role as “Long-distance logistics transportation”. The X3000 series page on shacman.ru says the trucks are made “по технологии MAN (Германия)” (by MAN technology, Germany), on the basis of the F3000 series with a cab of entirely new design, meet the Euro-V emission standard and come with the wheel formulas 4x2, 6x2, 6x4 and 8x4. It says the series is intended mainly for the high-class segment of the logistics and haulage market, with the 6x4 as the model mainly promoted, and that the X3000 meets European certification to “ECER29” (“испытание ударной нагрузкой”, impact test). The history page dates the introduction of German MAN technology into the company’s products to 1995. SHACMAN’s release of 15 December 2025 says the newly released 8x4 dump truck raises output from 340 to over 400 hp against the M3000 trucks the same customer bought ten years earlier, a “generational transformation” of its powertrain.
SHACMAN’s Russian site calls the X3000 restyle (“рестайл”) “эволюцию X3000 с ярким дизайном” (an evolution of the X3000 with a bright design), more economical, more functional and lighter: fuel consumption down by 4% through 19 fuel-saving technologies, 6 weight-saving solutions, 15 cab settings, new voice control and passive safety. It names a Weichai transmission of the 13G generation (“Трансмиссия Weichai поколения 13G”), credited with 3% lower gear-oil consumption and 5% higher transmission efficiency, and a lightweight Hande hdz440 drive axle credited with 2% higher transmission efficiency. Six lightweight elements, among them aluminium-alloy wheel hubs, disc brakes on the front axle and wedge brakes on the drive axle, bring the vehicle weight down to 8.35 tonnes (“вес автомобиля снижен до 8,35 тонны”). Active safety is credited with 7% more driving safety, and the cab comes in bright red, sky blue and orange, with paint whose ageing resistance the page gives as 50% higher.

SHACMAN’s export page lists front axles of 7.5 t and 9.5 t, rear axles of 13 t and 16 t, leaf-spring or air suspension and FAG-bearing axle modules it describes as engineered for low-friction, maintenance-free operation. The Russian model pages give MAN front axles of 7.5 t (6x4 tractor, truck mixers) and 9.5 t (8x4 tipper), 16 t MAN rear axles (8x4 tipper, truck mixers) and 315/80R22.5 tyres, Triangle TR917 on the truck mixers, with “315-70R22.5” printed on the 4x2 tractor page. The restyle 6x4 tipper page gives axle loads of 7,500 kg at the front and 2 × 16,000 kg at the rear, all MAN, a double, divided final drive (“двойная, разнесенная”) with a ratio of 5.262, cross-axle and inter-axle locks, leaf springs with telescopic dampers at the front, a balanced leaf-spring rear suspension with an anti-roll bar, power steering, dual-circuit air brakes with drum brakes, spring parking brakes, an engine brake (“моторный тормоз-замедлитель”) and ABS. The restyle 4x2 tractor page gives axle masses of 7,300 kg at the front and 13,000 kg at the rear, a pneumatic four-point service brake, an engine brake, “ECAS, ABS+ASR+EBL+TPM ESC+EBS” and a JOST 50 fifth wheel at a height of 1,250 mm. The X3000 series page describes a widened high-strength frame (940 mm, 850 mm, 8 mm thick) and 2 front and 4 rear leaf springs with a lightweight balanced suspension, and lists a lightweight “90” fifth wheel and a lightweight 13-tonne Hande single-reduction axle among the items it marks as options; the restyle page names a lightweight Hande hdz440 drive axle.
The Russian manual lists front axles of 5.5, 7.5 and 9.5 t and drive axles of 13 and 16 t, power steering, leaf springs with hydraulic dampers and an anti-roll bar at the front, leaf springs with dampers or air suspension at the rear, and, for two rear axles, a balanced leaf-spring suspension with reaction rods or air suspension. Its service brake is a dual-circuit air system working at 1 MPa (10 bar), one circuit on the rear axle or axles and one on the front axle, with a warning when a circuit falls below 0.55 MPa (5.5 bar); the parking brake works through spring brakes, the auxiliary brakes are the engine brake and a hydraulic retarder, and the trailer brake is dual-circuit. Its table of ECAS air-suspension functions lists axle-load monitoring and an in-cab switch for raising and lowering the lift axle, and marks as options, among others, up to 2 stored ride heights, a remote control for the lift axle and a traction help that moves load onto the drive axle below 30 km/h.
The 2021 brochure describes the Hande axle with FAG low-drag, maintenance-free bearings as “500,000 km maintenance-free” and says it does not break down after 1.318 million impulsive axial loads; it gives the suspension a fatigue test of more than 138 thousand cycles against 80,000 in the national standard, which it says puts life expectancy 72% above the national requirement, says revised fuel, brake and steering lines shorten the brake response time by 20%, and lists “ABS+WEVB” and a JACOBS engine brake. SHACMAN’s release of 9 September 2025 describes X3000 tractors with 16-ton rear axles with dual-stage reduction and a 5.92 ratio pulling combinations 103 metres long and 200 tons in weight; that of 28 November 2025 describes X3000 tractors with disc brakes and four-channel ABS and an X3000 6×2 with an electronically controlled air suspension that lifts the non-driven rear axle.

The Russian series page says that, with the vehicle optimised and roof side deflectors fitted as standard, the drag coefficient is lowered to 0.53, and that new air-intake pipes enlarge the intake area by 26.5% and lower intake resistance by 7%. The export page and the 2021 and 2025 brochures give the same 0.53 for the body shape optimised by computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and the release of 28 November 2025 describes X3000 tractors with top and side deflectors.
Safety and driver-assistance systems
SHACMAN’s export page lists a lane departure warning system (LDWS), tyre pressure monitoring (TPMS), fatigue monitoring and a 360° view system, and says the robot-welded cab complies with “ECE-R29”; the 2025 brochure marks these four systems as optional. The 2021 brochure lists as optional LDWS, TPMS, intelligent wipers, fatigue monitoring and “blind zone monitoring +360 sanning”, describes a laser-welded cab built with ABB and KUKA robots that passed the “ECE-R29” crash test, and names “ABS+WEVB” and the JACOBS engine brake. The X3000 launched in New Zealand in 2021 was presented with LDWS, TPMS and “EBS + ESC”.
The Russian manual describes an advanced emergency braking system (AEBS) that combines radar and camera, tyre pressure monitoring that warns at 20% above or below the nominal pressure, an electronic stability programme (ESP) with yaw control and rollover protection that the driver can switch off, a switchable ASR, and warning lamps for the electronic braking system (EBS), adaptive cruise control (ACC), collision warning, driver fatigue warning and hill assist; its last section covers a blind-spot system with cameras and parking sensors and a reversing camera. On shacman.ru the restyle 4x2 tractor page lists “Интеллектуальные системы AEBS (ACC) + FCW + LKAS” (intelligent systems: AEBS (ACC), FCW and LKAS) and describes collision warning, driver fatigue monitoring and 360° cameras.

The restyle series page links an operating manual for the controller of the TP90 heater (a PDF of June 2024) and an instruction for tipper bodies (a PDF of April 2020) that describes a subframe, mid-mounted lifting gear of F or T type or a front-mounted hoist, rear- or side-tipping bodies, body heating by exhaust gas and a chain hoist or hydraulic lift for the spare wheel. Both series pages link an instruction of March 2025 for the front towing device supplied with the truck, part DZ96259830003, fitted through the front bumper with four M16 bolts and self-locking nuts and removed after use. SHACMAN’s heavy tractor of the 6000 series is described on the SHACMAN X6000 page.
Source notes
Apart from the export brochure of April 2021, SHACMAN’s documents give engine outputs in hp or PS only; that brochure gives kilowatt figures, displacements and torques for each engine code, for versions from Euro II to Euro V. No single weight is given for the model: the Russian manual rates the 4x2, 6x2, 6x4 and 6x6 at gross combination weights of 43, 46, 49 and 49 t, and the 2025 export brochure gives tractor versions of 40 to 120 t and dump trucks of 50 to 90 t gross vehicle weight. The manual gives a maximum gross weight of 16,000 kg for the 4x2 in its table of permissible masses and 18,000 kg in its 4x2 tractor table. On shacman.ru the 6x4 tipper page gives two kerb weights, 14,315 and 14,500 kg, and the restyle 8x4 tipper page a torque of 1,800 N·m for the WP13.550E501, which the 2021 brochure rates at 2,550 N·m. The history page dates the X3000’s launch ceremony to 18 December 2014; no document opened gives a start of series production or dates the X3000 restyle.
