The MV Series is a truck range that International Motors presents on its U.S. and Canada website with two Cummins engines, three cab sizes and a 4x2 or 6x4 axle configuration, built as a truck or as a tractor. This page is built from International’s MV Series page, read on 27 October 2026, and from six MV sheets on international.com, all footed January 2026: the general spec sheet (TAD24006, headed 2024–25) and the application sheets for dry van (TAD24007), utility (TAD24008), boom (TAD24009), recovery (TAD24010) and snowplow (TAD24011) trucks. No International document opened gives a start of production or the earlier generations of the MV Series.

Models and configurations

The spec sheet’s table opens with the line 107” BBC Set-Back Front Axle and lists two models: the MV607, with a 107.5-inch BBC (bumper to back of cab) and a 40.4-inch BA, and the MV60H with the same figures, marked “Low Profile”. The MV page gives both models as 107-inch BBC and 40-inch BA. Both documents list a day cab, an extended cab and a crew cab, and the 4x2 and 6x4 axle configurations, which axle configurations explains.

The MV page lists five chassis configurations, each with the weight ratings below:

The 6x4 configurations are listed with the L9 only. The same page gives the MV’s gross vehicle weight in its summary as 20,000–54,600 lb, and the spec sheet gives a GVWR of 21,500–54,700 lb. The US weight ratings are explained in GVWR, GCWR and GAWR. No International document opened gives a kerb weight or the overall length, width or height of the MV.

Cab and interior

International describes the MV cab as a “high-strength, low-alloy (HSLA) reinforced, cold-rolled steel construction” with air- and water-tight seals, and says that all MV configurations pass the SAE J2422 roof strength test. The MV page lists the cab’s corrosion protection in six steps: stamped steel with a 60G/60G galvanised coating on both sides; a caustic and surfactant cleaning; a tri-metal phosphate of nickel, zinc and manganese; an epoxy-based electrodeposition primer (e-coat) that covers and seals the entire exposed metal surface of the cab; an acrylic basecoat; and a urethane clear coat. The page also says that every welded cab assembly is dipped into an electrostatically applied primer. The floor and toe-kick panels carry InterCoat ChemGuard, a chrome-zinc phosphate coating that International calls “a self-healing layer of skin on our galvanized steel”, and a spray-on polyurethane and polyurea floor coating is optional.

Outside, the MV page names a sloped hood and halogen headlights, with LED headlights and breakaway hood-mounted mirrors as options. The spec sheet’s text lists “standard LED headlights, breakaway pedestal, cab and hood mounted mirrors” among the available safety features, while its table gives long-life halogen headlights with LED and heated LED headlights as options; the MV page’s table gives the same three headlight types.

Inside, International offers two trims. Classic has neutral-coloured inserts on the doors and instrument panel and black door handles; Diamond adds Mineral Grey Teak woodgrain accents and bright door handles. The standard instrument panel is flat, with a centre-mounted vent for the middle passenger, and the page also names a straight or a wing-panel instrument panel and customisable seating. The optional stalk shifter on the steering column lets the driver select a gear, shift manually and apply the engine compression brake; the spec sheet says it lets drivers shift and apply the Jacobs brake without looking down. How such brakes work is covered in retarders and engine braking explained. The MV page gives the stalk shifter as available with the Allison 1000 and 2000 Series and required with the 3000 Series, and the spec sheet repeats this in a footnote. The page says the HVAC vents were redesigned and can be adjusted by the driver.

Engines

Cummins engines for the MV on International’s MV page and spec sheet, in the maker’s units.

Cummins L9260–360 hp, 860–1,150 lb-ftUp to 450 hp, 1,250 lb-ft

Both documents mark the B6.7 ratings of 340 hp with 700 lb-ft and 360 hp with 800 lb-ft as available for emergency and RV vehicles only. The spec sheet adds that the B6.7 ratings of 200–250 hp and 600–660 lb-ft are not available for emergency applications; the MV page says that the L9 rating of 260 hp and 860 lb-ft “is not available for emergency”. International gives power in horsepower and torque in pound-feet; no International document opened gives kilowatt or newton-metre figures, a displacement or an emission standard for either engine. The B6.7 itself is described in Cummins B6.7 engine.

The exhaust is a single horizontal system, with the aftertreatment device mounted on the right of the frame, under the cab or behind it, and a horizontal or vertical tailpipe.

Transmissions

The MV page lists Allison 2000 and 3000 Series automatic gearboxes, in HS, EVS, RDS and MH versions, and Eaton Fuller 6-speed and 10-speed manual gearboxes. The spec sheet lists the same and adds the Eaton Fuller Advantage 10-speed fully automated manual gearbox, a type explained in automated manual transmissions. The snowplow sheet lists a transmission PTO as available.

Both documents list IROS air suspension as available for single and tandem axles. For snowplow trucks the MV page names a 14.7k front axle and suspension as options, and the snowplow sheet gives the axle as the Dana Spicer E-1462I with a parabolic taper leaf front suspension of shackle type.

The MV page lists hydraulic disc brakes with four-channel ABS and optional traction control, and as an option air brakes with ABS, optional traction control and an optional Electronic Stability Program with traction control. The spec sheet lists air brakes with ABS as standard, with optional traction control and an optional Electronic Stability Program with traction control, and hydraulic disc brakes with four-channel ABS as an option. Both documents list Sheppard and TRW/Ross steering, which the spec sheet gives as power steering. The MV page lists Continental, Michelin, Goodyear, Bridgestone, Hankook and Yokohama tyres; the spec sheet names Pirelli in place of Yokohama.

Frame and wheelbases

The frame is listed in high-strength low-alloy steel of 50,000–80,000 psi or in heat-treated alloy steel of 120,000 psi, with a clean CA available for body mounting. The spec sheet’s frame row also lists a 20-inch integral front frame extension; the snowplow sheet lists it among its optional features, and the MV page names an optional front-frame extension for snowplow trucks. The MV page names Huck Bolt chassis fasteners.

The spec sheet gives wheelbases of 128–311 in. Under “Wheelbase Options” the MV page lists 217 in for a service body and four dry-van entries, each a wheelbase and a second figure followed by “typical” and a box length: 217 / 100 in (20-foot box), 236 / 100 in (22-foot box), 254 / 106 in (24-foot box) and 272 / 112 in (26-foot box). The page does not label the second figure.

Electrical system and tanks

The MV carries International’s Diamond Logic electrical system, which International says lets customers program automated tasks. For body installation the MV page lists plug-and-play components, no hardwiring into fuse panels and relay boxes, no dash disassembly for switch installations, integrated lights and buzzers, and pigtails that take power and signal directly from the harness; switch packs that need no cut into the dash, flexible switch locations and types, integrated backlighting and indicator lights, and switches that can be redefined without being moved. For equipment protection it lists PTO interlocks, equipment interlocks, load shedding and theft deterrence. The spec sheet adds body-builder wiring for lighting and Remote Power Modules (RPM). The page also names a suite of standard telematics features.

Alternators are 12-volt units of 160–325 A. The MV page gives two to three 12-volt batteries; the spec sheet gives two to four, with 1,320–3,450 CCA. Fuel tanks hold 40 to 140 gallons, in non-polished or polished aluminium, with right-side, left-side or dual under-cab mounting; DEF tanks hold 5 to 16.5 gallons.

Safety and driver-assistance systems

The Bendix Fusion collision mitigation system is optional. International describes it as integrating adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, over-speed alert and stationary vehicle braking. The MV page lists as standard within the system: ACC Stop and Driver Go, collision mitigation and AEB, pedestrian collision warning and braking, enhanced AEB with high deceleration, speed sign recognition with overspeed alert, roadway departure warning, and lane departure warning marked “(on/off) – 15 minutes”. As options it lists ACC Stop and Auto Go, variable following distance, Pass Assist, automatic high-beam headlights with a disable switch, and lane departure warning marked “(on/off/mute) – Key Cycle”. The optional Premium Gauge Cluster, a customisable digital display with up to 15 digital gauges, axle-loading and tyre-pressure readouts and safety alerts, is required with collision mitigation.

The optional Bendix BlindSpotter covers a range of 150 degrees and detects objects up to 10 feet to the right of the vehicle and 12 feet fore and aft. The spec sheet names the optional Bendix Fusion and a Blind Spot Monitoring System among its active safety features; the snowplow sheet names only an optional Blind Spot Monitoring System.

Application sheets

The MV page’s resources list names a spec card and spec sheets for boom, snowplow, utility, dry van and recovery trucks. The dry van, utility, boom and recovery sheets carry the same text and table as the general spec sheet under their own titles. The snowplow sheet replaces the table with descriptions of the ChemGuard coating, the spray-on floor coating and the e-coat paint process, and with a list of optional features: a 20-inch integral front frame extension without mega-brackets, a plow light connection, road speed and other wiring in the dash or behind the seat, a heated windshield, the 14.7k Dana Spicer E-1462I front axle, a parabolic taper leaf front suspension of shackle type, a transmission PTO and sealed battery terminals. The MV page describes the front-frame extension as “rated for an 11-foot, 2,500-lb. plow assembly”.
