The SITRAK C7H is the heavy truck line that China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (CNHTC), also known as SINOTRUK, builds under its SITRAK brand. CNHTC’s Chinese site says it created SITRAK together with MAN in 2009 and that the C7H, which came off the line in January 2013, was the first SITRAK model built in series. In Russia, where the official site sitrak.ru is run by Sinotrak Rus, a SINOTRUK subsidiary, the line is offered as the C7H MAX tractor and as C7H all-wheel-drive trucks, tippers, chassis and truck mixers. This page is built from Sinotruk’s own documents: the C7H MAX, C7H and SITRAK range pages and the history page on sitrak.ru (read on 8 October 2026), the Russian C7H operator’s manual published there (version VI, dated March 2020) and the illustrated C7H/C7H MAX driver’s guide (a PDF of December 2022), Sinotrak Rus releases of 19 December 2024, 25 December 2025, 3 March 2026, 18 May 2026, 1 June 2026 and 10 July 2026, and the brand and history pages of CNHTC’s Chinese group site. The technical documents are all Russian-market documents; the Chinese pages carry the brand history.

Sinotrak Rus says the C7H MAX tractor, depending on its engine, transmission and wheel formula, can work in regional, long-haul and container transport, in the carriage of dangerous goods and of especially heavy oversized loads, and in construction. It describes the all-wheel-drive C7H as built for hard-to-reach places and unpaved roads, for forest, taiga, steppe, desert and winter roads; the all-wheel-drive table gives every version as a Euro 5 diesel with the 12.419-litre MC13. The C7H tippers carry bodies of 16 to 32 m³ for rock, bulk aggregates and coal, with wall, floor and side thickness varying by type, and with a towing coupling they can work in a road train. The chassis are offered for dropside platforms, tipper bodies, refrigerated vans, cranes, truck mixers, agricultural equipment, combined road-maintenance machines and tankers. The truck mixers carry drums of 8 to 12 m³ built of wear-resistant materials, and every one has a heated water tank. How wheel formulas are written is covered in axle configurations explained.
For SINOTRUK’s stand at COMvex-2026 in Moscow (26 to 29 May 2026), the release of 18 May 2026 lists four C7H rigids beside the C7H MAX tractor: a hook-loader on a C7H 8x4 for containers of bulky waste, with a 440 hp engine with a Bosch common-rail fuel system, a 16+2 manual gearbox, a payload of 26.5 t, electronic braking, cruise control and inter-axle and cross-axle differential locks; a combined road-maintenance machine on a C7H 6x4 with an 18 m³ body that serves as a tipper, gritter and snowplough; a C7H 8x4 rock tipper with a 23 m³ body of K450 wear-resistant steel, 16 mm thick in the floor and 7 mm in the sides; and a C7H 6x6 tipper with an updated cab interior. The release gives the Palfinger hook-loader unit, with Velmash VK T30 equipment, a working length of 6,060 mm, a capacity of 30 tonnes, a hook height of 1,570 mm, maximum lifting and lowering times of 87 and 92 seconds and a platform angle of 50 degrees.
Cabs
The C7H MAX page offers two cabs, both with two berths. Sinotrak Rus describes the E cab as a spacious two-seat cab for drivers who travel with a co-driver, and calls the H cab “our premium class”, with a high roof, more space and an ergonomic interior. The C7H page offers the F cab with one berth, which it describes as combining ergonomic design, modern driver-assistance systems and greater comfort, with improved noise insulation and climate control, and the M cab, which it calls a compact version of the F with smaller dimensions and a folding berth in place of a full sleeper. The all-wheel-drive table names its cabs C7H-U, C7H-F and C7H-M; no page opened describes the U cab.
Each cab tab on sitrak.ru carries a table of thirteen dimensions in millimetres, in columns lettered A to M, beside a drawing of the cab that carries the same letters without a written legend.
| Cab | A | B | C | D | E | F | G | H | I | J | K | L | M |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| H | 2,130 | 2,030 | 340 | 300 | 330 | 705 | 790 | 2,440 | 2,280 | 2,256 | 2,145 | 2,200 | 790 |
| E | 1,905 | 1,805 | 340 | 300 | 330 | 580 | 690 | 2,440 | 2,280 | 2,256 | 2,145 | 2,200 | 790 |
| F | 1,645 | 1,385 | 320 | 310 | 300 | 923 | – | 2,240 | 2,280 | 2,056 | 2,145 | 2,005 | 749 |
| M | 1,925 | 1,665 | 320 | 310 | 300 | 540 | 590 | 2,240 | 2,280 | 2,056 | 2,145 | 2,005 | 749 |
On the C7H MAX page the H and E rows differ only in columns A, B, F and G. The C7H page calls the M cab a compact version of the F with smaller dimensions; in its table the M row gives higher A and B values than the F row (1,925 and 1,665 mm against 1,645 and 1,385 mm), a lower F value (540 against 923 mm), a G value of 590 mm where the F row gives none, and the same values in columns C, D, E and H to M. How high and low sleeper cabs differ in general is covered in truck cabs explained.
Sinotruk’s range page says SITRAK cabs for Russia are made of galvanised steel, primed by full-immersion cataphoresis and given a thicker coat of paint on the cab and the frame. It lists adjustable seats with heating and ventilation, climate control, an instrument panel, a 12.3-inch screen, three 12 V and two 24 V sockets, a heater with remote start as standard and an engine pre-heater of up to 15 kW as an option, a refrigerator, storage boxes and shelves and a wide berth; it also describes seat-integrated seat belts, an unfastened-belt warning, an airbag and a cab suspension designed to move the cab backwards in a collision, absorbing energy. The C7H page lists a refrigerator in the cab. The illustrated driver’s guide describes tilting the cab with a hydraulic hand pump or, on trucks with an electric cab lift, with a switch inside the cab and a button outside it.
Engines
The diesel engines are Sinotruk’s MC series, in-line six-cylinder units with turbocharging and charge-air cooling, which the C7H page gives as Euro 5. The gas engine is the MT13, a spark-ignition six-cylinder that runs on liquefied (LNG) or compressed (CNG) natural gas and that Sinotrak Rus describes as developed by SINOTRUK engineers. The C7H MAX page offers the MC13 and the MT series; the C7H page lists the MC13 for every body, the MT13 in the engine tab of the tipper section, whose heading reads “MC and MT series engines for C7H tractors”, and the MC11 for chassis and truck mixers.
| Engine | Displacement | Compression ratio | Output | Torque |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MC13.48-50, diesel | 12.42 l (12.419 l on the C7H MAX page) | 19 | 353 kW (480 hp) at 1,900 rpm | 2,300 Nm at 1,050–1,400 rpm |
| MC13.54-50, diesel | 12.42 l (12.419 l on the C7H MAX page) | 19 | 397 kW (540 hp) at 1,900 rpm | 2,500 Nm at 1,050–1,350 rpm |
| MC11.40-50, diesel | 10.52 l | 19 | 294 kW (400 hp) at 1,900 rpm | 1,900 Nm at 1,000–1,400 rpm |
| MC11.44-50, diesel | 10.52 l | 19 | 324 kW (440 hp) at 1,900 rpm | 2,100 Nm at 1,000–1,400 rpm |
| MT13.46-51, natural gas | 12.42 l | 11.5 | 338 kW (460 hp) at 1,800 rpm | 2,250 Nm, speed range printed as 110–1,400 rpm |
The C7H MAX page gives the MC13’s torque band two ways: its table gives 1,050–1,400 and 1,050–1,350 rpm, while its text gives a band from 1,100 to 1,400 rpm for both ratings. The MC13 is listed at 12.419 litres on the C7H MAX page and in the C7H page’s all-wheel-drive table and at 12.42 litres in the C7H page’s engine table. The C7H MAX page says the cylinder block is made of compacted graphite iron, which it credits with 75% higher stiffness, 40% higher elasticity and 100% higher fatigue strength than ordinary cast iron, and both product pages say the MC engines carry a specially developed engine brake. Sinotrak Rus’s release of 3 March 2026 gives the thermal efficiency of the MC13 now in use as 46%, against 50% for the MC13A that SINOTRUK fits to the SITRAK C9H, and says that the torque plateau of current-generation engines starts at 1,050 rpm. The release of 19 December 2024 says that intelligent torque management, an electronic accelerator pedal and revised software raise engine thermal efficiency by 8.7%, with fuel consumption more than 7% lower, among the changes to SITRAK and HOWO trucks to become available in Russia in 2025. How kilowatt, horsepower and rated-speed figures relate is set out in reading truck power figures.
The operator’s manual describes an air-assisted SCR exhaust aftertreatment system that it says Sinotruk developed entirely in-house, meeting China V and Euro V with an OBD2 function; it gives the system’s urea-solution (AUS32) tank as 45 litres in total, of which 40 litres are usable. For the MC11 and MC13 it gives, as reference figures, an oil fill of 42 litres on first filling and 40 litres at a change without a new filter element, and oil-change intervals for long-haul trucks of 100,000 km or 12 months at high-speed work and 80,000 km or 12 months in urban work, with shorter intervals for heavy-duty use. Gas-powered trucks as a type are covered in LNG and bio-LNG trucks.
Transmission
Sinotrak Rus’s releases of 2026 give the C7H MAX a 16-speed S-AMT, which Sinotruk’s range page calls the Sinotruk Automated Manual Transmission, a new generation of automated gearboxes developed by SINOTRUK engineers. The release of 18 May 2026 gives the S-AMT of the C7H MAX announced for COMvex-2026 a service interval raised to 240,000 km and an optimised lubrication system, and the release of 10 July 2026 describes the 16-speed S-AMT of the trucks on the Vladivostok to Moscow run as made by SINOTRUK itself. In the same May release the C7H road-maintenance machine and rock tipper have an automated gearbox with 12 forward and 2 reverse gears, and the hook-loader a 16+2 manual gearbox. The release of 19 December 2024 says that, among the changes for 2025, the eighth-generation in-house AMT shifts gears 75% faster and has a service life raised to 8 million shifts, and it lists a steering-column gear selector among the 2025 options.
The SITRAK range page, which covers the C9H as well as the C7H, names three gearbox families: the SITRAK 12TX2620 TD and 12TX2621 TD, with automatic gear selection, coasting when the load falls and account taken of driving resistance, vehicle weight and other parameters; the S-AMT; and the SITRAK 16S2531 TO and 16S2530 TO. It says the gearboxes in SITRAK trucks come from world-renowned makers. The operator’s manual of 2020 describes a ZF 16-speed Ecosplit gearbox, built from a four-speed main box with range and splitter groups, a ZF TraXon automated gearbox, HW gearboxes such as the HW25712XS and HW25716XSTCL, and Sinotruk’s SmartShift automated manual transmission. The principle of automated manual gearboxes is explained in automated manual transmissions.
Both product pages list the EVB engine brake and a hydraulic transmission retarder as auxiliary brakes. The manual names two kinds of retarder: the ZF Intarder, integrated with a ZF gearbox, and a hydraulic retarder offered as an option on the SmartShift gearbox. In the driver’s guide the retarder is worked by the right-hand steering-column stalk: position 0 switches it off, position 1 holds a constant speed downhill by adjusting the braking torque, and positions 2 to 6 set fixed braking steps. Cruise control works above 30 km/h. How the two kinds of auxiliary brake work is explained in retarders and engine braking explained.
Axles, suspension and brakes
Sinotruk’s range page says all SITRAK axles are made by SINOTRUK, with Oerlikon final-drive gears as standard and drum or disc brakes. It lists, for the SITRAK range sold in Russia:
| Axle | Type | Brakes | Technically permissible load |
|---|---|---|---|
| MCY13 | single drive axle, single-reduction hypoid final drive, a wide range of ratios | disc | 13 t |
| MCY13BES | tandem drive axles, single-reduction hypoid final drive | disc | 26 t |

The range page also lists non-driven lifting rear axles for tractors and chassis. The release of 19 December 2024 announced a new MCY rear drive axle with a revised tooth form, lubrication system and external oil filter, maintenance-free ball joints on the track rod and drag link of the front axle, and, for 2025, an all-wheel-drive version with a transfer case that can disconnect the front axle. In the May 2026 release the C7H 6x4 road-maintenance machine has a front axle with drum brakes rated at up to 9 tonnes and two drive axles with a ratio of 4.2, each rated at 16 tonnes; the C7H 8x4 rock tipper has two front axles of 9 tonnes each, two drive axles with a ratio of 5.92 rated at 16 tonnes each, and leaf-spring suspension with an anti-roll bar.
The driver’s guide describes a cross-axle differential lock on 4x2 and 6x2 trucks and, on 6x4, 6x6 and 8x4 trucks, an inter-axle lock that is engaged before the cross-axle locks. Both product pages describe a redesigned drive-axle breather that equalises pressure and keeps water and dirt out of the axle housing, and a panel that gathers the test connectors of the air circuits in one place, also usable for drawing compressed air, for example to inflate tyres. The C7H MAX page adds an axle-load display for each axle of the tractor and semi-trailer and a brake-lining wear indicator; the range page lists electronically controlled brakes (EBS) and electronic stability control (ESC).
Dimensions and weights
No Sinotruk document opened gives a wheelbase, an overall length, width or height, a kerb weight, a gross vehicle weight or a gross combination weight for the C7H. Sinotruk’s documents give the cab dimensions listed under Cabs, the axle ratings listed under Axles, suspension and brakes, body volumes of 16 to 32 m³ for the tippers and 8 to 12 m³ for the truck mixers, and, for the vehicles announced for COMvex-2026, the hook-loader’s payload of 26.5 t and the rock tipper’s 23 m³ body.
Fuel tanks
The C7H page gives fuel tanks of up to 1,260 litres in one place and, under its own heading, volumes from 300 to 1,400 litres depending on the type of vehicle. The C7H MAX page gives tanks of up to 1,260 litres and offers a single tank with the spare wheel carried on the frame. The operator’s manual gives the urea-solution tank of the SCR system as 45 litres in total. No Sinotruk document opened gives the gas-tank volume of the MT13 versions.
