The Territo is Otokar’s intercity and school bus. Otokar Europe’s brochure presents the range as “Intercity and School Coaches” in three drives: the diesel TERRITO U 10, 12 and 13, the natural-gas TERRITO CNG 12 and 13, which the same brochure also calls the TERRITO U CNG, and the battery-electric e-TERRITO U 12 and 13. The brochure states that the model “is also available with specifically adapted, cost-effective finishings for school routes”. Otokar’s English commercial site has separate pages for the TERRITO U, the e-TERRITO and the TERRITO U SHD, which its page calls “The New Territo”. Otokar’s city bus, the Kent, and its midibus, the Sultan, have pages of their own.

This page is built from seven Otokar documents, all read on 27 October 2026: the TERRITO brochure in English, imprinted “OEU-25 EN - September 2025 - Roissy-en-France” by Otokar Europe SAS; Otokar’s 2026 Turkish range brochure, which carries the codes KS95TA-26 and KS87TG-26; the undated TERRITO U, TERRITO U SHD and e-TERRITO pages on Otokar’s English commercial site; and two Otokar news items, of 1 June 2019 and 9 December 2025. No document opened gives a launch date, an earlier generation, a wheelbase, a weight, axle loads, a wheel formula, a tyre size, a tank volume, a charging figure, a gearbox maker or the maker of the natural-gas engine.

Versions and dimensions

For both e-TERRITO U lengths the brochure adds “Standing capacity varies depending on battery type”. Otokar’s documents also give the lengths in other forms. The brochure’s own cover reads “10.80, 12.20 and 13.00 m”; the news item of 9 December 2025 gives “three different lengths (10.86 m, 12.20 m, and 13.00 m)”; the TERRITO U page prints “12/12.6/13 m” under “Vehicle Length”; the TERRITO U SHD page prints “12.2 / 13 m”; and the Turkish range brochure gives the Territo as “12,2 - 13 Metre”, with “CNG/Elektrikli opsiyonları mevcut” (CNG and electric options available).

The brochure’s diesel text gives “capacity for up to 63 passengers and 5 m³ of luggage storage”, and the TERRITO U, TERRITO U SHD and e-TERRITO pages each give “Up to 63 passengers”. The Turkish range brochure describes the Territo as offering “74 kişiye varan yüksek yolcu kapasitesi”, a capacity of up to 74 passengers, “ayakta ve oturarak”, standing and seated.

Diesel engine and gearbox

The brochure gives all three diesel lengths the same engine, “Cummins ISB6.7 233 kW (320 HP) / 2,300 rpm”, and describes it as a “Euro 6 diesel engine”, “XTL- and HVO-Compatible”; HVO itself is described in What is HVO?. On its range page the same brochure states that “TERRITO coaches are available with several different engine options, whether that’s electric, natural gas or biodiesel”. Otokar’s 2026 Turkish range brochure gives the Territo’s Cummins as “233kW @ 2300 d/d” and “1182Nm @ 1150 - 1400 d/d”, that is 1,182 Nm between 1,150 and 1,400 rpm. The news item of 9 December 2025 gives “Euro 6 technology compatible with HVO/XTL fuels, featuring Cummins engines with 233 kW (320 HP) power output”.

Otokar’s two diesel model pages differ from the brochure and from each other. The TERRITO U SHD page gives “233 kW (317 hp)”. The TERRITO U page gives “238 kW (320 hp)” under “Max Power”, and “2300 rpm” in the field it labels “Max Tork”.

The brochure gives the TERRITO U a “manual or (optionally) automatic gearbox”, and the TERRITO U and TERRITO U SHD pages a “manual or automatic (optional) gearbox”. The brochure’s paragraph on the driver’s area names “Its automatic transmission, alongside the ABS and the ECAS”.

Natural-gas version

The brochure gives the TERRITO U CNG in “two different lengths: 12.20 m and 13 m”, both at “235 kW (320 HP) / 2,000 rpm”, and labels the version “Low-emission”. It states that “The engine is designed to be stoichiometric, and operates without EGR, SCR or a particulate filter via an especially effective combustion process that means that the engine does not need any additives”, and that “The TERRITO U CNG is 100% compatible with biomethane”. It lists “CNG fuel caps on both sides of the vehicle” and an independent front suspension.

Otokar’s 2026 Turkish range brochure lists for the Territo CNG a “9 lt’lik yüksek performanslı düşük emisyonlu çevreci motor”, a 9-litre, high-performance, low-emission, environmentally friendly engine, together with high passenger capacity and “ADAS sürücü destek sistemleri”, ADAS driver-assistance systems.

Battery-electric version

The brochure presents the e-TERRITO U as “100% Electric” and “Zero emission”, “With a maximum power of 410 kW and a torque of 3,100 Nm”. Its batteries are “lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries in the holds”, which the brochure says “provide an optimised centre of gravity as well as improved stability and handling”; the chemistry is described in battery chemistries in heavy trucks. The brochure describes “Modular battery packs, tailored to your needs, with 4 possible configurations”, gives “Up to 450 kWh (15 packs)” for both lengths, and states that “The e-TERRITO U maintains an optimal capacity of 63 seats with a 450 kWh battery”. It gives the range as “Battery range: Up to 500 km*”, the asterisk reading “Depending on usage and weather conditions.”

Otokar’s e-TERRITO page describes a bus of “13 meters in length” that “is available in two different battery capacity options, resulting in two different ranges and two different luggage capacity”. It gives “The maximum output is 410 kilowatts with a maximum torque of 3,100 newton meters”, “lithium-iron-phosphate batteries”, and states that “The battery modules are installed on the bottom of the bus”. The Turkish range brochure lists the e-Territo as “Elektrikli”, “Optimum menzil”, “Yüksek performans” and “Sıfır emisyon” (electric, optimum range, high performance, zero emission).

Chassis, brakes and safety systems

The brochure gives the diesel and the CNG versions an independent front wheel suspension, and the e-TERRITO page names “independent front suspensions” for the electric bus. The brochure’s driver’s-area paragraph names ABS and ECAS, the system described in ECAS air suspension. The TERRITO U SHD page describes the bus as “Fitted with the latest security system generation (emergency braking, lane departure warning system, ESP, ASR)”, and calls it “a multipurpose vehicle that can be used for short and medium distance lines”.

Passenger area and equipment

The brochure describes “modern LED lighting and reclining seats with leather headrests, with accessibility provided by a central double door”, a wheelchair space, and a lifting platform “available as an option”; the TERRITO U page gives the same items as “LED lighting and reclinable seats with leather headrests”, “A double central door, an area reserved for wheelchair users, and an optional platform lift”. The TERRITO U page gives “luggage racks and compartments with a total capacity of 5 m³”, and the news item of 9 December 2025 “a spacious 5 m³ luggage compartment”. The brochure’s photographs are captioned with luggage compartments, an “Area for wheelchairs and buggies”, a “Passenger compartment with luggage racks” and a “Driver’s area with a multifunction steering wheel available as an option”. Wheelchair access on buses is covered in bus accessibility.

The brochure’s school pages, headed “TERRITO - School version”, describe the same central double door and optional lifting platform, and the TERRITO U page gives, as examples of its uses, “a school bus, or a regular bus service”. School buses as a vehicle category are the subject of school transport vehicles.

Dated entries in Otokar’s documents

Otokar’s news item of 1 June 2019 announces “the delivery of 30 vehicles, TERRITO U in Tuscany”, celebrated at a ceremony with the president of TIEMME SPA and the managing leaders of MAURI BUS Italy and Otokar Europe; “6 vehicles will be used for extra-urban lines in the Pratovecchio region”. The news item of 9 December 2025 reports “three 12-meter TERRITO buses” delivered to Kolmårdens Buss och Transport AB in Kolmården, Sweden, for school transport and charter services, and calls it Otokar’s “first vehicle delivery to Scandinavia”. The same item describes the TERRITO as “Winner of the German Design Award 2023 in Excellent Product Design”. The English brochure is imprinted September 2025.
