The Prestij is the midibus of Temsa, whose factory is in Adana, Türkiye; the product menu of Temsa’s international site lists it as the only model under “Midibus”. On 18 June 2025 Temsa unveiled what it calls the new generation of the Prestij, “fully redesigned”, and dated the model’s debut to 1992. The new Prestij made its European market debut at Busworld Europe in Brussels in October 2025, where Temsa announced the start of its European sales. The product page is headed “The Legend Reimagined: New Prestij”; at Busworld Temsa called the model “Legend Reborn”. Temsa’s release of 18 June 2025 presents the Prestij for tourism transport, airport shuttles, school bus fleets and employee transfers, and the product page names corporate shuttle services, school transportation and the tourism industry as the sectors in which it is most commonly used. The rules for vehicles used in school transport are covered in school transport vehicles.

The figures on this page come from Temsa’s English Prestij brochure, which the product page links as its brochure and whose imprint says its information is accurate as of 06/2026 (the PDF was created on 13 July 2026), and from the Prestij product page of Temsa’s international site in English. The dates and the history come from Temsa’s news items of 18 June 2025 and 3 October 2025. All four were read on 27 October 2026. The brochure prints a point as the thousands separator and a comma as the decimal mark (“7.264 mm”, “95,8 x 104 mm”); the imprint adds that specifications “may differ per country”.

The brochure places the luggage compartments at the side and at the rear of the vehicle. Neither the brochure nor the product page gives a wheelbase, a turning circle, an unladen weight or a gross vehicle weight; the product page’s block headed “Dimensions & Weights” has no weight row. The axle ratings are given in the section on axles below. What the rows of a bus data sheet stand for is set out in how a coach specification sheet is read.

Engine

The brochure and the product page give one engine, the 4P10.

Displacementprinted “2,998 L”
Maximum power110 kW (150 PS) at 2,625 rpm
Maximum torque400 Nm at 1,600 rpm

Both documents print the displacement as “2,998 L”. The brochure writes decimals with a comma (“95,8 x 104 mm”, “6,00 x 17,5”), which makes the figure 2.998 litres, and Temsa’s release of 18 June 2025 speaks of “a 3-liter engine”. The questions-and-answers section of the product page gives the power as “110 kW (150 HP)”. No document opened names the maker of the engine. Temsa lists it as Euro VI without a sub-stage; the stages are set out in Euro 6 and Euro 7 explained. The fuel tank holds 160 litres and the urea tank 12 litres.

Gearbox, axles, steering and brakes

A 5+1 manual gearbox is standard and a 6+1 automated manual gearbox (AMT) is optional; the product page names MFTBC as the gear brand (“Gear Brand: MFTBC”). Temsa’s release of 18 June 2025 says the new Prestij “is also offered with a 6+1 AMT transmission option”. How a gearbox of this kind shifts is covered in automated manual transmissions.

Both axles are rigid. The brochure rates the front axle at 3,100 kg and the rear axle at 5,060 kg (printed “3.100 kg” and “5.060 kg”), and the product page gives the same figures. The wheels are 6.00 x 17.5 rims with rim covers, on 225/75 R17.5 tyres. Steering is hydraulic, with a multi-functional steering wheel that adjusts for tilt and reach (“Tilt and Telescopic”); the product page lists “Height & Tilt Adjustment” and describes ergonomic buttons integrated into a “smart steering wheel”.

The brochure lists as standard a parking brake, an exhaust valve brake, ABS, ASR, EBS and ABA6 (Active Brake Assist 6). No document opened describes the suspension or names the type of the service brakes.

Electrical system

The brochure gives one 12 V battery of 225 Ah, and its alternator row reads “2 x 12V, 140A”. At Busworld Temsa spoke of “a dual alternator”. The safety list of the brochure adds a low-voltage warning and a circuit separator on the battery.

Body, interior and driver’s area

An LED lighting system and fog lights are standard; the standard paint is opaque white and a metallic paint is optional. Temsa’s release of 18 June 2025 describes refined front and rear masks and colour options “like deep blue and smoky grey trims”, and the product page speaks of a modernised front and rear design with updated LED headlights. At Busworld Temsa listed electrically operated doors and an optional lift system; no document opened gives the number of doors.

For the passengers the brochure lists as standard reclining seats, a parcel rack, curtains, floor covering and an item it calls “Multiset”, with two-point seat belts; three-point belts are optional. Its text and the product page describe seats with leather headrests. Single glazing of the side windows is standard and double glazing optional. A 14 kW air conditioner, a driver’s defroster and a convector are standard and a preheater is optional; the product page says the 14 kW air conditioning is standard on all Prestij models. A radio and MP3 player, electrically adjustable exterior mirrors, a reverse-gear buzzer and a tachograph are standard; a refrigerator and a front microphone are optional.

The driver’s area has a digital cluster with multilingual support, which the product page calls an “IPS digital dashboard” and for which Temsa’s releases give 29 languages. The brochure also lists keyless start, a rear-view monitor, a sun visor, an interior mirror for the driver, a sliding, heated front driver’s window and an air-suspended driver’s seat with a three-point belt, all standard.

Safety and driver assistance

The safety list of the brochure marks as standard the blind spot information system (BSIS), the moving off information system (MOIS), intelligent speed assistance (ISA), tyre pressure monitoring (TPMS), reversing detection (REV), driver drowsiness and attention warning, listed as “Attention Assist (DDAW)”, preparation for an alcohol interlock (ALC) and the lane departure warning system (LDWS), together with a fire warning system and a fire extinguishing system for the engine room, safety hammers and a fire extinguisher. The alcohol interlock itself is optional. Temsa’s release of 18 June 2025 names the advanced emergency braking system, BSIS, MOIS, ISA, reversing detection, an emergency stop signal and driver drowsiness and attention warning; at Busworld Temsa named ABA6 and “dual blind spot detection compliant with GSR regulations”. The product page describes the Prestij as “Fully compliant with GSR 2 regulations”. Which of these systems the EU General Safety Regulation requires, and from when, is set out in mandatory driver assistance systems.

The brochure’s safety page describes the systems in short captions: radar in the middle of the bumper that detects cyclists and pedestrians in front of the vehicle as it moves off; millimetre-wave radar on the side surfaces of the bumper that detects blind spots during turns; detection of pedestrians and cyclists as well as vehicles; a rear-view camera with an in-car monitor; stop lights and hazard lights that flash under sudden and strong braking to warn the driver behind; a camera that recognises speed limits in the direction of travel and warns when they are exceeded; detection of signs of fatigue or lack of focus, with an audible warning; tyre pressure monitoring; protection of the electronic components against cyber attacks; and preparation for an alcohol interlock which, if one is used, requires the driver to use it before starting the vehicle.

The Prestij line since 1992

Temsa’s two releases and the brochure give the following dates for the Prestij line. No Temsa document opened describes the Prestij models built before 2025.
