The XF is the New Generation long-haul DAF with the 2,360 mm cab, beside the XG and XG+ with their 2,690 mm cabs, and DAF dates its first generation to 1997. This page covers the New Generation XF that DAF launched on 9 June 2021 and began building in Eindhoven that November, as a diesel with PACCAR MX-11 and MX-13 engines and, since September 2025, when DAF announced the start of series production, as the battery-electric XF Electric. It is built from DAF Trucks Ltd’s GB specification sheets, edition 202545A of July 2025, the DAF Components engine infosheets for model year 2025, DAF’s New Generation brochure HQ-EN-0824 of August 2024, the XF Electric infosheet, DAF Trucks Limited’s electric technical brochure UK-EN-0326 of March 2026, DAF press releases from April 2017 to the IAA Transportation show of September 2026, and DAF’s history timeline. Weights and configurations are GB figures; DAF’s sheets say the availability and specification may differ per country.

The XG and XG+ use the same engine families, TraXon gearbox and PACCAR EX-D2 electric drive unit; their cabs, and the explanations that apply to the whole New Generation range, are set out on the DAF XG+ and DAF XG and XG+ Electric pages. The DAF XD is the New Generation distribution range, which DAF says shares the DNA of the XF, XG and XG+.

Overview and earlier generations

Earlier XF generations

DAF’s own documents date the line as follows:

  • 1997, DAF 95XF. DAF’s history timeline describes the 95XF as a series for long-distance haulage with 2.25 m long cabs in Comfort Cab, Space Cab and Super Space Cab versions, and a DAF-developed 12.6-litre six-cylinder XF engine with a 24-valve combustion system, rated at 280–355 kW (381–483 hp). It was voted International Truck of the Year 1998.
  • 2001–2002, new XF series. DAF’s 90th-anniversary release of 22 March 2018 says DAF “launched the new LF, CF and XF series in 2001 and 2002”. DAF’s XF105 cab infosheet names the predecessor of the XF105 cab as the DAF XF95 series.
  • 2005, XF105. The timeline says the XF105 brought “the largest cab in the market” and the new 12.9-litre PACCAR MX engine, with Space Cab and Super Space Cab versions according to its cab infosheet. It was voted International Truck of the Year 2007.
  • 2012–2013, Euro 6 XF. DAF introduced the Euro 6 XF in 2012 with a new chassis, a Euro 6 PACCAR MX engine, an aerodynamic exterior and a modern interior, together with the PACCAR MX-13 engine, ahead of the Euro 6 legislation that took effect in the EU on 1 January 2014; DAF’s 2018 release says “a full range of new, ultra-clean Euro 6 models entered production in 2013”.
  • 2017, New XF. DAF’s release of 25 April 2017 introduced a new CF and XF with up to 7% lower fuel consumption by DAF’s account, the 12-speed TraXon automated gearbox as standard (16-speed optional), an MX-13 at 390 kW (530 hp) with 2,600 Nm at 1,000 rpm, up to 360 kW of MX-13 engine braking, and service intervals that could be extended from 150,000 to 200,000 km. It gave the total volume of the XF Super Space Cab as more than 12.6 m³ and said production would begin in the summer of 2017. The CF and XF were voted International Truck of the Year 2018. DAF’s timeline records the 100,000th New CF and XF, an XF 450 4x2 FT Super Space Cab, in 2019.

DAF’s launch press kit of 2021 says that XF Super Space Cab and Space Cab were “still available” when the New Generation XF was announced. DAF said then that 650,000 XF trucks had been sold in total, and that the XF was in service in over 50 countries.

The New Generation XF, 2021 to 2026

  • 9 June 2021. DAF launched the New Generation XF, XG and XG+, developed in line with the EU’s new masses and dimensions regulations. The press kit says series production of 4x2 and 6x2 tractors and rigids would start in the last quarter of 2021.
  • 4 November 2021. Series production of the New Generation began in Eindhoven; the first truck was an XG+.
  • 2021. The XF, XG and XG+ were voted International Truck of the Year 2022.
  • 19 September 2022. At IAA Transportation 2022 DAF added a Day Cab and a Sleeper Cab to the XF, which until then had been offered with the Sleeper High Cab, and presented the XF Electric.
  • 10 October 2024. DAF announced engine, rear-axle and equipment updates for the whole New Generation range, set out under Engines and Transmission below, “available for ordering now”.
  • 7 April 2025. A B100 biodiesel version of the MX-13 became available for the XF, XG and XG+, as tractors and as rigids.
  • 19 September 2025. DAF announced that it “starts series production” of the XD and XF Electric. DAF’s 2026 releases say the two were voted International Truck of the Year 2026.
  • 28 January 2026 and 14 September 2026. DAF extended the electric range with 6x2, 6x4 and 8x4 versions and, at IAA Transportation 2026, presented new axle configurations for the diesel XD, XF, XG and XG+ (both under their own headings below).

Cab

The XF is offered with three cabs: a Day Cab, a Sleeper Cab and a Sleeper High Cab. On DAF UK’s July 2025 sheets the Sleeper Cab is 2,360 mm long and the Day Cab 2,030 mm, both 2,500 mm wide, with three entrance steps, mechanical cab suspension, LED headlights and a front-view mirror as standard. Seventeen of the 23 diesel sheets specify the Sleeper Cab as standard, with the Sleeper High Cab and, on some of them, the Day Cab as options; six multi-axle rigids (FAQ, FAT, FAW, FAD, FAD Mixer and FAX) specify the Day Cab, with both sleeper cabs as options. What the different cab types are for is covered in truck cabs explained.

DAF’s launch release describes a completely new cab with a front elongated by 160 mm and a cab datum 75 mm lower than its predecessor’s, and gives a standing height of 1,900 to 2,075 mm depending on the position in the cab. DAF UK’s New Generation page gives the same 2,360 mm length and standing height and a cab volume of 9.73 m³. The XG and XG+ cabs add 330 mm at the rear and sit on a cab datum 125 mm higher than the XF’s; both are 2,690 mm long. The launch press kit gives a windscreen area of 2.3 m² for all three models and a bunk length of 2,220 mm in all versions.

Standard interior on the diesel sleeper-cab sheets: “Luxury” trim colour, “Vision” dashboard finish, “Hexagon” decoration, a Comfort Air driver’s seat with arm rest, a co-driver’s cinema seat with fabric cover, a dashboard table, a centre storage compartment, automatic temperature control with air conditioning and an auxiliary water-type cab heater. The Day Cab sheets list no arm rest, no dashboard table and no auxiliary cab heater. Options on the FT 4x2 tractor sheet include a “Plateau” dashboard, “Argenta” or “Natura” decoration, Luxury Air, Super Air and Xtra Leather Air driver’s seats, one or two refrigerators, an Xtra Comfort lower-bunk mattress, an upper bunk, automatic cab climate control, integrated park air conditioning, a kerb view window in the co-driver’s door, DAF Corner View and front fog lights. Standard paint is Crystal White on a grey chassis.

DAF’s 2024 brochure describes a central 12-inch display and an additional 10-inch display with phone mirroring, infotainment and navigation; on the sheets the infotainment systems are options. At IAA Transportation 2026 DAF presented a rear-wall storage unit with three compartments for the XF, XG and XG+; the release gives its volume, up to 290 litres, for the XG and XG+ only.

Engines

Two PACCAR six-cylinder diesel families are offered, the 10.8-litre MX-11 and the 12.9-litre MX-13, each in three ratings, which DAF’s sheets name XF 370 to XF 530:

XF 530MX-13390 kW (530 hp) at 1,675 rpm2,700 Nm at 900–1,460 rpm2,550 Nm at 900–1,425 rpm

DAF’s sheets call both engines “multi torque”. The DAF Components infosheets give the higher figure in the highest gear with a direct-drive gearbox and in the two highest gears with an overdrive gearbox; DAF’s 2021 press kit gives the 390 kW version 2,550 Nm “in every lower gear” and 2,700 Nm in top gear. How a quoted power or torque figure is measured is explained in reading truck power figures.

The XF 410, the 300 kW MX-11, is the standard engine on 22 of the 23 diesel sheets. The FTM 8x4 tractor sheet is headed XF 430 and lists only the three MX-13 versions; the FAD 8x4 Mixer lists only the three MX-11 versions. The XF 370 does not appear on the FA 4x2 rigid, the five Low Deck sheets or the FTS, FTR, FTN, FTG and FTP tractors. The same six versions appear on DAF’s engine overview of June 2021. DAF Components lists the MX-11 at 220 and 251 kW as well; no XF sheet offers those.

Construction, from the DAF Components infosheets: in-line six-cylinder, turbocharged and intercooled, with exhaust gas recirculation, a diesel particulate filter and SCR for Euro 6; a variable-geometry turbocharger; common-rail injection with two high-pressure pump units in the block, at up to 2,500 bar. The MX-11 has a 123 × 152 mm bore and stroke and a compression ratio of 19.0:1 (EU) or 18.5:1 (non-EU); the MX-13 has a 130 × 162 mm bore and stroke and a compression ratio of 19.4:1 (MY25) or 18.5:1 (MY24). The infosheets call the MX Engine Brake optional, a hydraulically operated compression brake on the MX-11 and a compression release brake controlled through the VTG and a back-pressure valve on the MX-13. On the XF sheets it is standard on every diesel configuration except the FAT 6x4 and FAW 8x4 rigids, which list an exhaust brake. DAF’s sheets state “Euro 6” with no sub-step.

What changed with the New Generation, by DAF’s account: for 2021, a new cylinder head and block, new injectors, pistons and liners and an HE400 turbocharger, torque increases of 50 to 100 Nm in direct-drive top gear, maximum torque from 900 rpm even on the 390 kW MX-13, up to 20% more engine-brake torque at lower revs and 10–15 kg less engine weight. The 10 October 2024 update added valve timing on the Miller principle, a dual-drive coolant pump, a two-cylinder clutched air compressor and new injectors, and prepared the engines for B100. In April 2025 DAF made a B100 version of the MX-13 at 355 kW available for the XF, XG and XG+; DAF says all its trucks with a combustion engine are HVO-compatible.

Transmission

Every diesel XF has a 12-speed TraXon automated gearbox, which DAF fits as standard across the XF, XG and XG+. On the UK sheets 19 configurations use the direct-drive 12TX2010, ratio 16.69–1.00; the FTM 8x4 tractor, the FAT 6x4 rigid and the two FAD 8x4 rigids use the overdrive 12TX2610, ratio 12.92–0.77. The overdrive gearbox is an option on most of the direct-drive sheets (not on the Low Deck sheets or the FTP), direct drive an option on the FTM, FAT and FAD, and a ZF Intarder is offered on every diesel sheet. ASR is listed as standard on all nine diesel tractor sheets, and the FAQ, FAW, FAD, FAD Mixer and FAX rigid sheets offer a “No ASR” option.

Standard rear-axle ratios on the sheets are 2.38 on the 4x2 and most 6x2 configurations, 2.21 on the FTG tractor and FAX rigid, 2.47 on the FAQ rigid, 2.83 on the FTT tractor and FAW rigid, 3.46 on the FTM tractor and 3.73 on the FAT and FAD rigids. DAF’s 10 October 2024 release added a 2.64:1 ratio to the SR1344 rear axle and a new pinion that lets that axle take the 390 kW MX-13, and said the 2.05:1 ratio could now be used with 315/70R22.5 tyres on 4x2 tractors with every engine: at 85 km/h that gives 950 rpm instead of 1,030.

Axles, suspension and brakes

The standard front axle on almost every diesel sheet is an 8.00 t parabolic-sprung 163N axle, with 7.50, 9.00 or 10.00 t and air front springs among the options depending on configuration; the four Low Deck rigids (FA, FAS, FAR and FAN) have an 8.00 t air-sprung 161N front axle. The FAD and FAX rigids have two front axles of 8.00 t each (7.10 t each on the FAD Mixer). Rear axles and suspension on the sheets:

  • Single drive axle, SR1344 with air suspension: 13.00 t on the FT, FTS, FTN, FA, FAS, FAN, FAQ and FAX; 12.00 t on the FTR, FTP and FAR; 12.10 t on the FTG; 11.50 t on the Low Deck 4x2 and on the FAS, FAR and FAN Low Deck. SR1347 is offered as an alternative on every single-drive sheet, and HR1356 on all of them except the FTP and the five Low Deck sheets.
  • Trailing or pusher axle, liftable on most sheets: 10.0 t on the FTS and FAS, 8.0 t on the FTN, FAN, FAQ, FAW and FAX, 7.5 t on the FTR and FAR. The FTG and FTP tractors have a non-steered leading (pusher) axle, with rear group ratings of 18.60 t and 16.60 t.
  • Driven tandems: 10.50 + 10.50 t (21.00 t, air, SR1360T) on the FTT 6x4; 13.00 + 13.00 t, air-sprung, on the FTM 8x4 (HR1670T) and the FAW 8x4 (SR1360T), whose sheets both give the rear a rating of 34.00 t; 9.50 + 9.50 t (19.00 t, trapezium springs, SR1132T) on the FAT 6x4 and FAD 8x4.

Brakes are ventilated discs front and rear on most sheets, with EBS-controlled dual air circuits and an engine-driven, water-cooled compressor; the FTM 8x4 tractor and FAT 6x4 rigid have discs at the front and drum brakes on the rear tandem. Driven-axle tyres are 315/70R22.5 on the FT 4x2 tractor and 315/80R22.5 on the FTM 8x4. The layout codes are decoded in axle configurations explained.

Configurations, dimensions and weights

DAF UK lists nine diesel tractor and 14 diesel rigid sheets for the XF. GVM and GCM are printed on each sheet “in conformity with registration documents”; the technical GVM and driveline GCM are the sheet’s separate chassis and driveline limits. The rigid sheets also list optional driveline GCMs up to 64,000 kg (FA, FAS, FAR, FAN), 60,000 kg (FAQ, FAX) or 78,000 kg (FAT, FAW, FAD); the four Low Deck rigids offer up to 50,000 kg. The terms are explained in truck weights, GVW and GCW.

Each sheet’s last page gives the unladen weight, carrying capacity, overall length and turning circles for each wheelbase and cab it lists. DAF calculates the weights with standard specification items only, a stated quantity of fuel and AdBlue (620 and 80 litres on the FT 4x2 tractor, 400 and 80 litres on the FTM 8x4, 430 and 45 litres on the FAN 6x2) and a 90 kg driver, at a tolerance of ±3%. Examples from three sheets:

  • FT 4x2 tractor (wheelbases 3.60, 3.80 and 4.00 m; 3.25 m with the Day Cab only). At 3.80 m with the standard Sleeper Cab: unladen 7,480 kg (5,235 kg front, 2,246 kg rear), gross carrying capacity 10,520 kg, overall length 6.32 m, turning circle 13.50 m between kerbs and 14.88 m between walls. With the Day Cab at the same wheelbase the unladen weight is 7,293 kg, with the Sleeper High Cab 7,441 kg. DAF’s launch press kit gave a kerb weight of 6,912 kg for the New Generation XF 4x2 tractor “in its most representative specification”.
  • FTM 8x4 tractor, 4.65 m wheelbase, Sleeper Cab: unladen 11,043 kg (5,683 kg front, 5,360 kg rear), gross carrying capacity 19,957 kg, overall length 7.83 m, turning circle 15.71 m between kerbs and 17.13 m between walls.
  • FAN 6x2 rigid, ten wheelbases from 3.80 to 6.10 m. At the standard 4.40 m with the Sleeper Cab: unladen 8,358 kg (4,931 kg front, 3,427 kg rear), gross carrying capacity 17,642 kg, turning circle 15.05 m between kerbs and 16.46 m between walls; across the range the turning circle runs from 13.50 m (kerbs) and 14.88 m (walls) at 3.80 m to 19.49 m and 20.96 m at 6.10 m.

Tanks and electrical supply

Standard aluminium fuel tanks on the sheets run from 340 to 620 litres: 620 litres on the FT 4x2 tractor and on the FA, FAS and FAR rigids, 510 litres on the FTT and FTP, 450 litres on the Low Deck 6x2 rigids, 430 litres on the FTS, FTR and FAN, 400 litres on the FT Low Deck, FTG and FTM, and 340 litres on the FTN, the FA Low Deck and the multi-axle Day Cab rigids. The AdBlue tank is 80 litres on the tractors (45 litres on the FTN) and 45 litres on the rigids. The 24 V system has a 110 A or 130 A alternator and two 175 Ah batteries as standard (two 230 Ah on the FTG), with a 150 A alternator, two 210 Ah AGM batteries or two 230 Ah batteries as options.

Safety and driver-assistance systems

Standard on the sheets: DAF drowsiness detection, Lane Departure Warning System, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and an engine immobiliser, with Adaptive Cruise Control including Forward Collision Warning and the Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS-3), and DAF’s Driver Performance Assistant. On the FAQ, FAW, FAD, FAD Mixer and FAX rigids the sheets list “No vehicle stability control” and Adaptive Cruise Control with Forward Collision Warning without AEBS-3. DAF’s release of 10 October 2024 made the DAF Digital Vision System (cameras in place of the main and wide-angle mirrors), Predictive Cruise Control and low-rolling-resistance tyres standard on 4x2 and 6x2 versions; every 4x2 and 6x2 diesel sheet lists “No DAF Digital Vision System” as an option, and the 6x4, 8x2 and 8x4 sheets list the DAF Digital Vision System and Predictive Cruise Control as options. Other options include a driver airbag with two seat-belt tensioners, DAF drowsiness and distraction detection, “No Driver State Monitoring” and “No DAF Side/Turn Assist”.

DAF’s launch press kit says AEBS-3 can provide up to full autonomous emergency braking for stationary and moving vehicles from a speed of up to 80 km/h, and describes energy-absorbing crash boxes on the firewall, crash zones at the rear of the cab and DAF’s Programmed Cab Displacement System (ProCaDis), which allows 400 mm of controlled cab displacement on the chassis in an accident. DAF’s 2024 brochure adds the Controlled Steering Column Deformation System (CoDeS) and says the latest XF, XG and XG+ models have a 3-star rating under London’s Direct Vision Standard, which is explained in London’s Direct Vision Standard. DAF UK’s full list of New Generation safety systems, which applies to the whole range, is set out on the DAF XG+ page. DAF’s IAA 2026 release lists DAF Drowsiness and Distraction Detection, which warns when the driver’s eyes are off the road ahead for longer than 6 seconds, among its new features; the July 2025 sheets already list “DAF drowsiness & distraction detection” as an option.

Equipment and options

Standard on the sheets: PACCAR Connect, a Stoneridge G2V2A digital tachograph and a speed limiter set to 85/90 km/h; DAF’s 2024 release gives every New Generation truck a 10-year PACCAR Connect subscription. Most tractors have a JOST JSK37C cast-iron fifth wheel (150+40 mm); the FTN has a JOST JSK36DV pressed-steel one (205+40 mm). The rigids have a drawbar cross member rated D=13.7, except the FAD Mixer, whose sheet lists a closing member. Power take-offs, tail-lift connections and fuel-tank sizes are listed as options, and the sheets name three option packages without listing their contents: Safety pack, Executive Pack XD/XF and Climate Pack.

XF Electric

DAF presented the XD and XF Electric at IAA Transportation 2022 (release of 19 September 2022) and opened its DAF Electric Truck Assembly plant in Eindhoven on 24 April 2023, saying series production was planned from that summer. Its release of 19 September 2025 announced that DAF “starts series production” of both. The battery-electric XF uses the same three cabs as the diesel.

Drive units. DAF offers two PACCAR units, each made up of two electric motors and an integrated three-speed transmission with planetary gear sets, mounted midship:

DAF gives the EX-D1 a maximum torque of 1,500 Nm and the EX-D2 2,400 Nm, and puts the outputs at 230 to 480 hp. DAF’s documents disagree on where the EX-D1 is used. The XF Electric infosheet, the model overview HQ-EN-0426 and DAF UK’s product page list it for the XF Electric, and the UK technical brochure marks it for the FA 4x2 rigid only; the release of 19 September 2025 says the EX-D1 “is supplied in the DAF XD Electric for solo use with GVWs up to 29 tonnes”, while the release of 28 January 2026, covering the XD, XF, XG and XG+ Electric together, says the new FAT and FAW rigids “can be equipped with both PACCAR EX-D1 and PACCAR EX-D2 e-motors”. The EX-D2 is the unit on both UK XF Electric sheets.

Battery. Two to five lithium iron phosphate packs of 210 to 525 kWh installed; the infosheet gives an 88% depth of discharge, hence the available figures in the table. The two-pack, 210 kWh battery is listed with the 170 kW EX-D1 only. DAF’s battery warranty guarantees 70% state of health over 8 years or 4 MWh/kWh of energy use, which DAF equates to 4,000 charging cycles. Why installed and available energy differ is covered in installed vs usable battery capacity.

Configurations and weights. The infosheet lists the FT 4x2, FTG 6x2 and FTN 6x2 tractors and the FA 4x2, FAS 6x2, FAN 6x2, FAT 6x4 and FAW 8x4 rigids. In the UK technical brochure’s “XF / XFC Electric” table the gross vehicle masses are 21.5 t (FA), 29 t (FAS, FAN, FTN), 30 or 31 t (FAT, the 30 t marked for the XFC Electric), 39 t (FAW), 20.5 t (FT) and 28 t (FTG), with a gross combination mass of 50 t for all and wheelbases of 390–610 cm (FA), 380–590 cm (FAS), 380–610 cm (FAN), 405–555 cm (FAT, FAW), 390 cm (FT), 415 cm (FTG) and 400 cm (FTN). The FTG takes three packs only. The infosheet adds a GVW bonus of up to 2 tonnes, up to the technical limit. DAF UK’s two Electric sheets are both XF 310 versions with four packs and 150 kW DC charging as standard:

  • FT 4x2 tractor, Electric: GVM 18,000 kg and GCM 42,000 kg (registration), technical GVM 20,500 kg, driveline GCM 42,000 kg; wheelbase 3.90 m; unladen weight with the Sleeper Cab 10,037 kg (6,462 kg front, 3,575 kg rear), calculated with 3 litres of fuel; overall length 6.42 m; turning circle 13.76 m between kerbs and 15.15 m between walls; 315/80R22.5 driven-axle tyres and a 2.38 rear-axle ratio.
  • FAN 6x2 rigid, Electric: GVM 26,000 kg and GCM 42,000 kg (registration), technical GVM 27,000 kg, driveline GCM 42,000 kg; wheelbases 4.20 to 6.10 m; at 4.20 m with the Sleeper Cab, unladen weight 11,124 kg.

Charging, range and braking. The truck charges through CCS2 at up to 22 kW AC and 150 or 325 kW DC, in four combinations; DAF says a 420 kWh battery reaches 80% in 45 minutes. DAF’s XF Electric infosheet says the XF Electric “can drive up to 500 km”, the UK technical brochure that it “can reach a range of over 500 km”, both depending on load, configuration, route and driving style, and the 2025 release that five packs allow more than 500 km on a charge and up to 1,000 km a day with planned charging. DAF’s IAA 2026 release speaks of ranges of over 550 km on a single charge for its Electric trucks in general, without naming a model. With One Pedal Drive the maximum available braking power can be set to three levels, 33, 67 or 100% of the maximum motor power, according to the infosheet (the release of 28 January 2026 says 33, 66 or 100% of the total braking power), and a brake resistor for endurance braking is listed for combinations. An electric PTO of 25 or 90 kW is optional; the January 2026 release describes a 650 V e-PTO of 25, 60 and 100 kW. The charging and range wording is examined in more detail on the XG and XG+ Electric page.

2026 additions. The January 2026 release added the FTG and FTN tractors (EX-D2 only; three packs standard on the FTG), the FAS rigid with a 10-tonne double-mounted trailing axle, and the FAT and FAW rigids on a 21-tonne driven tandem (the FAT also on a 19-tonne one). The release gives a GVW of up to 28 tonnes for the FAS and GVWs of 29 tonnes for the FAT and 37 tonnes for the FAW; the brochure table gives 29 t, 30 or 31 t, and 39 t for the same three. At IAA 2026 DAF said the XD, XF, XG and XG+ Electric can carry up to 500 kg more payload than the equivalent diesel trucks, and showed a battery layout with no pack under the cab and up to four packs further back, which DAF says lowers the front axle load by some 700 kg and raises payload by up to 2.5 tonnes; the release names no model or date for it.

Additions shown at IAA 2026

DAF’s release of 14 September 2026 adds these diesel versions:

  • 10x4 rigid, an ex-factory five-axle XD or XF with two steered front axles of 8, 9 or a new 10 tonnes and a 34-tonne rear tridem, a driven tandem with a liftable, steered trailing axle, at a technical GVW of up to 54 tonnes. The release’s summary also lists “twin steered 10 tonnes front axles for 47-tonnes GVW” among the new diesel axle configurations, without further detail.
  • Car-transporter chassis in 4x2 and 6x2 form for the XD, XF, XG and XG+, with the suspension lowered by 4 cm and 22.5-inch wheels with low-profile tyres for a chassis height of 83 cm, within a legal vehicle height of 4 metres.

The release gives no order or production date for either, and no DAF UK sheet lists them yet.

Source notes

Weights are those of DAF Trucks Ltd’s GB specification sheets, edition 202545A of July 2025, which give GVM and GCM “in conformity with registration documents”; the same sheets also give chassis-related technical GVMs and driveline-related GCMs, for example 41,000 kg and 58,000 kg on the FTM 8x4 tractor. No rated speed is shown for the MX-13, rated at 1,600 rpm at 315 and 355 kW and at 1,675 rpm at 390 kW. The peak torque figures apply in the highest gear with a direct-drive gearbox and in the two highest gears with an overdrive gearbox; in the other gears DAF gives 1,800 to 2,200 Nm for the MX-11 and 2,150 to 2,550 Nm for the MX-13. The XF Electric battery figure is installed energy in two to five packs; DAF gives 185, 277, 370 and 462 kWh as available. The 325 kW is the highest of four charging options. DAF’s XF Electric infosheet says the truck can drive up to 500 km, while its UK technical brochure says over 500 km.
